The Difference between Genius and Stupidity Is that Genius has limits. Albert Einstein

I'm not sure,  it took me a minute or two to work out the satire in the above, so I don't make any claims to be the sharpest tool in the shed, or smartest stock picker, but I bet I beat a few! at least I publish a performance page!

The market is certainly testing us, with some interesting things happening.

The prices being paid for Growth stocks like Blackmores PE of 59, and Yield of 1.36% thats a lot of growth factored in!

Bellamys, PE 97 and yield of 0.3% pretty lofty stuff!

Looks more like Stupidity than Genius to me!

And a lot of great Australian companies are being trashed, certainly some value emerging.

BHPs tailings Dam disaster certainly having a big impact, and the company needs to help these communities get back on thier feet, and investigate thoroughly so it doesn't happen again.

We still don't know how much this will all cost, so we might see them drop their dividend, but this too shall pass, and if they maintain their dividend Yield 8.2% not too shabby,  has to be a good long term buy. PE of 22,  lowest I have ever seen BHP

WES Wesfarmers also out of favour, PE of 17.3  yield of 5.3% and Bunnings still thriving, has to be the cheapest we have seen them for years.

Thorn Group, PE of 10 Yield 7.3%

So a good time to look at your portfolio and put in some long term value I would have thought, but who knows.

Certainly hard to understand the Genius in people picking Market Darlings from Market Dogs at the moment.

But the longer you are around the more chance the market has of making fools of us all.
it is probably one of the greatest levelers humanity has!

The lure is, if you master it,  it will make you a free man.

That's more than any government or ideology can offer you, and its in your hands!

So beat that!!
